About the Program
The two-year program has been accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF.) This industry supported curriculum prepares students in the area of Maintenance and Light Repair to achieve the Automotive Service Excellence certification required by most automotive service facilities nationwide. Students will possess the knowledge and technical skills required to be successful in the automotive industry upon graduation from high school either through an entry level employment position or in a post-secondary education program. Students interested in the two-year program are encouraged to take the Automotive Principles course in either their freshman or sophomore year.
David Lilly: Automotive Technology
David started at PHS in September of 2011 as the Automotive Technology Instructor. He has over 15 years’ experience in the field of Automotive Technology. David has spent 10 years in industry as a technician and shop manager in both a dealership and independent setting. “I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for automotive with my students”. He currently has 34 automotive certifications including seven automotive service excellence certifications. David’s goal is to achieve student success and teach students life-long skills.
